Long ago, the Crow King ruled the Veil, a fragile weave between mortal fate and timeless chaos, his power bound in a heartstone atop a branch-throne. His parliament of crows, each an omen, guarded this balance with him. But a fox, crowned by a loyal crow, slithered into the flock’s trust.
One crow, perched on a sigil-carved tree, succumbed to whispers of power, stealing the heartstone and shattering it into 18 fragments. The Veil frayed, the Crow King’s crown floated above his ruined throne, and the fox retreated with its feathered guide, leaving a curse: gather the shards to restore the Veil, or let fate unravel.
Now, the crows scatter their omens, each bearing a piece of the heartstone, each a clue. The Feathered Guide watches—ally or deceiver?—while a protector shelters the innocent. Will you mend the Veil or claim its shards?
